SICILY. Syracuse. Agathokles, 317-289 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 27 mm, 17.30 g, 3 h), circa 310-306/5. KOPAΣ Head of Kore to right, wearing wreath of grain ears and single-pendant earring. Rev. AΓAΘOKΛEIOΣ Nike, bare to waist, standing right, about to attach a helmet to a trophy, she holds a hammer in her right hand and a nail in her left; to lower left, triskeles running right. Dewing 949 (same dies). Ierardi 150 (O39/R101). SNG ANS 674. Lightly toned and boldly struck in high relief, a lovely example. About extremely fine.
